The Bible is many things. Many of which most of you have no idea of. Why would I make such a blanket statement? Well… let’s see.
The Bible is a portal.
“What?” you say. “That’s crazy”
A portal, yes. From one place to another. The Bible gives the secret to metamorphize (that word is worth a lot of money) through the vail between the temporal realm and the eternal.
The Bible is a gate.
The Bible gives the secret to opening the gate between our universe and eternity.
The Bible is a compass.
The Bible shows us which way to walk in order to get to the place where we will hear. “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
The Bible is an instruction manual.
The Bible gives instructions on how to live. And how to live with others. Especially the people we don’t like, and don’t like us.
The Bible is the history of redemption.
The Bible is the story of how God reached into time from eternity and provided a way to get to him after the first man and woman blocked the way.
The Bible is the family history of the Messiah and His appearance on the earth. His Birth, death, and resurrection (the Old Testament). In the New Testament – which starts after the resurrection – the writings are explaining redemption and how to get it through the Messiah. The Bible explains how the believer can be adopted into the family of the Messiah, and be transformed into his image. Then, the Bible explains how this Messiah will return to collect those in His family, and rule and reign with them.
The Bible is the explanation for creation.
The Bible is the key to understanding human nature.
The Bible is the ONLY revelation of God to man.
The only way we can even begin to know Him is because we are made in His image. We don’t look like Him. And we surely don’t – and cannot – act like Him. We have the capacity of know Him because He has placed a shard of Himself in ALL humans. The Bible says it in a couple of ways. It says that eternity has been sown in our hearts. And that the law of God is written on our hearts.
The Bible is a dictionary.
The Bible explains the meaning of issues of existence and gives them names and defines them. It gives words to those issues for which there are none.
The Bible is a pair of glasses. It allows us to see those things – and even beings – that would normally be unseen. Please, if you disagree, let’s talk about it. That is one of the things I’m here for. Leave a comment.
Okay… I could go on all night with these. One last one.
The Bible is a veil. The truth of God is hidden from those who do not know the Messiah. It is written in code, and you need the code – the alpha through omega – to understand it. And if you don’t have the code I can give it to you. A code, people. And without this code you will never understand it. Never.
Those of us who know HIM, know the code. And when we speak, we you read my words, there is an understanding that we have with each other. Those of you who do not know Him, if you would like to be “in the know” I can help you. Those of you who have no desire to know HIM. Why are you reading this? Is that shard festered and wanting to come out? Is the emptiness in you begging to be filled? Maybe you know HIM, but have gone your own way. Well… welcome to the club. And welcome home.
